St. Mary's Philippine Independent Church
St Mary's Philippine Independent Church is a faithful community of believers dedicated to the proclamation of the Good News of salvation in Christ, nurturing members through the word and sacrament so that they may become faithful witnesses to, and channels of, God's love in the world.
Our Vision
St. Mary's Philippine Independent Church envisions herself to be a caring mother who continously gives birth to "new creatures (persons) in Christ" out from the womb of the baptismal fountain; who lovingly and caressingly nourishes Christian families at the table of the Eucharist, and; who is the spring of encouragement, of forgiveness, of order, of healing and comfort, of love and concern. St. Mary's PIC is committed to organizing her members through prayer and fellowship, worship and service and is built around the common Filipino devotion to Mary as a loving and caring mother.New Location:

Father Rey Del Mundo
Father Rey Del Mundo, Priest and Ex-Officio Chairman for the St. Mary's Philippine Independent Church, graduated from the IFI Seminary now called ACTS-Aglipay Central theological Seminary in Urdaneta Pangasinan in 1984. Father Rey was born in Malabon City on 01/22. He attended: Grade School-Col. Ramon G. Camus Elementary School Malabon City; High School-Mapua Institute of Technology Sta Cruz Manila; and College - San Beda Colege/ University of the East.
He was assigned to a number previous parishes including: Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel Bacoor Cavite, Parish of Our Lady of Assumption Maragondon Cavite, Parish of the Holy Cross Noveleta Cavite, Pro-Cathedral Church of Jesus of Nazareth-Tampa Florida. He migrated to the U.S. on 8/3/1991.
Why He Became a Philippine Independent Church Priest
Father Rey was born and raised as a member of the Philippine Independent Church and has learned to love this church for a number of reasons.
"First because I see Christ amongst the members of this church, her very rich history, her pro-poor stand, her catholicity and the deep sense of nationalism in this church.
"My father Remigio G. Del Mundo Sr. also played a big role in shaping up my ministry. He was an "escribante" in our local parish (Parish of the Immaculate Conception-Malabon) and was also an acolyte in his younger years.
"I remember when I asked him if it was ok for me to enter the seminary. It was towards the end of my 3rd year in college then. I was adamant at that time because I didn't want to upset them. He was at his drawing board at that time and calmly turned to me and said one sentence "basta hindi ka magsasampay ng sutana sa bakod" (Literally: As long as you won't hang up your cassock on the fence) which was his way of saying as long as you don't turn your back on your ministry. I started serving in the altar of the Lord at the age of 7 and will continue to serve Him until i'm 777."
Father Rey is married to Abigail Valero Del Mundo and they have three children: Regan Allen V. Del Mundo, Andion Regina Coeli V. Del Mundo, and Raanan Adriel V. Del Mundo.
