St. Mary's Philippine Independent Church

St Mary's Philippine Independent Church is a faithful community of believers dedicated to the proclamation of the Good News of salvation in Christ, nurturing members through the word and sacrament so that they may become faithful witnesses to, and channels of, God's love in the world.

Our Vision

St. Mary's Philippine Independent Church envisions herself to be a caring mother who continously gives birth to "new creatures (persons) in Christ" out from the womb of the baptismal fountain; who lovingly and caressingly nourishes Christian families at the table of the Eucharist, and; who is the spring of encouragement, of forgiveness, of order, of healing and comfort, of love and concern. St. Mary's PIC is committed to organizing her members through prayer and fellowship, worship and service and is built around the common Filipino devotion to Mary as a loving and caring mother.

Ama ko, sumilang nawa ang aming pagsasarili. (Our Father, may the day of our joyful independence rise). Sa imahe ng Birhen ng Balintawak ng Iglesia Filipina Independiente, ang Birhen, na kumakatawan sa Inang Bayan, ay nakabaro't sayang watawat ng Pilipinas. Ang Nino naman ay nasa kasuotan ng gerilyang Katipunero, na kumakatawan naman sa pakikibaka ng sambayanang Pilipino para sa kalayaan.
Kilala rin bilang Simbahang Aglipayan, ang Philippine Independent Church ay nagdiwang ng ika-100 taon noong Agosto 2002. Sa kanyang Sentenaryo, layunin ng Pilipinong Katolikong simbahan na ipagpatuloy ang kanyang makabayang tradisyon.
